Intro
to Acupressure
Acupuncture, is an
ancient system of Chinese Medicine and it has been refined
over thousands of years into what it is today. In Chinese
medicine, it is believed that many diseases and ailments,
are caused by blockages within the invisible meridians which
circulate "chi" or life force around our body. In any disease
or pain, there is always a key point to it. Once the key
point is unlocked the channels and organs will function
properly and the healing energy can once again flow freely.
Acupressure is applying
finger force on a definite pressure point or area with the
intent of clearing these obstructions. In applying pressure
to the points the stagnation is forced to escape and circulation
can set in again. Acupressure uses the exact channels and
meridians, which constitute acupuncture and other Chinese
Medicine concepts.
